We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role is a key partner in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Generalist will collaborate with leaders across the organization to ensure HR policies and practices align with the company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct investigations into workplace concerns, including complaints of harassment, misconduct, or disputes.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and practices.
2. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and reference checks.
- Support hiring managers in selecting candidates and negotiating offers.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
3. Benefits Administration
- Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and communication of offerings.
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to address questions or concerns.
- Support annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain required documentation, such as employee files and HR records.
- Generate reports on HR metrics, such as turnover, recruitment, and employee engagement.
5. Training & Development
- Coordinate training programs to address skill development and compliance requirements.
- Support managers in identifying and addressing development needs within their teams.
6. HR Projects & Initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in company-wide initiatives, such as employee engagement and recognition programs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a Generalist role.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
